1st time on screen as an infant in 1976 in Premada Kanike alongside his father who was the lead.

At the age of 2, he started his journey as a child artist with the movie Sanadi Appanna in the year 1977.

In 1978 he acted in Thayige Thakka Maga, which was the third time the people got to see him on the silver screen.

In 1980 he once again acted alongside his father in the blockbuster Vasantha Geetha.

In 1981, it was the first time he was a part of two movies. Bhoomige Banda Bhagavantha which was the first time he was a part of a movie without his father as the lead.

Well, this was not the only first that year, he made his debut as a singer by singing not one but two songs in his 6th movie Bhagyavantha. His first song an evergreen favorite “Baana Daariyalli”. This was when the world was introduced to not only a future power star, but also a singing sensation.

In 1982 as well, we saw him act in two movies, the first Hosa Belaku.

This was the year another master class “Kaanadante Maayavadanu” was sung by him in Chalisuva Modagalu, his second movie of the year.

For a third consecutive year, he acted in two movies. The first Bhakta Prahalada, alongside his father where his acting skills impressed everyone who watched the movie.

His second movie of 1983, again alongside his father Dr. Rajkumar Eradu Nakshatragalu.

In 1984, in the movie Yarivanu, he gave us yet another set of successful songs “Kannige Kaanuva Devaru” and “ Aakashade Haaraduva”.

In 1985, for the first time he played the role of a lead actor as a child artist in the movie Bettada Hoovu, which was not only appreciated across Karnataka, but the entire Nation which resulted in him being awarded with a National Award at a young age of 10.

After a three-year break, he finally returned to the screen in the movie Shiva Mecchida Kannappa. This saw him act alongside not only his father, but also his eldest brother Dr. Shiva Rajkumar.

In 1989 he acted in what was his last movie as a child artist Parashurama as the charter Appu alongside his father.
